Sage River Family Massage Therapy is owned & operated by Jennifer (Barthels) Kinsey, Registered Massage Therapist & Breastfeeding Counsellor, & is located in Maple Ridge, BC. Our philosophy of massage encourages clients to take their health into their own hands, seeking a balanced & holistic approach.

THERAPIES:
Massage Therapy: Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in British Columbia are health care professionals committed to restoring & maintaining optimal health & pain-free function of the body. They are educated & trained to accurately assess & treat with techniques that include massage & manual therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, & rehabilitative exercise such as stretching, strengthening, postural exercise & patient education. Massage Therapy is an effective approach to pain management and rehabilitation. RMTs are effective in treating & providing relief for a wide range of conditions such as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, as well as many other common conditions related to soft tissue & joint dysfunction. Hot Stone Therapy: Stone Therapy is a type of thermotherapy, which improves the work of lymphatic & immune systems, normalizes body functions, & assists your body in self-healing. Perinatal: We offer pregnancy massage, a labour massage partner workshop, and breastfeeding counselling. Massage Therapy provides relief from symptoms often accompanying pregnancy due to increased body fluid volume, laxity of ligaments, & the shift in centre of gravity. Massage therapy is also a wonderfully relaxing experience, welcomed by expectant mothers who are stressed, fatigued and feeling the emotional effects of hormonal changes.

Workshops: Infant Massage and Stretch & Relax are offered upon request.
